Member, America's Fund; National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Awards received from: Baltimore City Council, 1981; President, Baltimore City Council, 1985; State Senate, 1985; Maryland State Conference, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Mayor's Citation, Baltimore City. Named Young Democrat of the Year, Young Democrats of Maryland, 1985. Three children.
